What to Expect
WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE LIKE?
During our weekly worship service there is a purpose for everything that takes place. The word “worship” in the Bible literally means to “bow or fall prostrate,” and this was done to ascribe worth to someone or something. Our services are designed to give God the proper honor that is due because He is worthy of our worship! Here is what a normal Sunday service would look like:
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
There is not a dress code for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in traditional Sunday dress; however, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Hillcrest Baptist!

Galatians 5:13 "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another."
WHERE DO I TAKE MY CHILDREN?
We believe children are a gift from God and that is why we strive to offer something special for your children. During every service there is a safe, clean, and well-staffed nursery for children ages three years old and under. Children 4 years old through the sixth grade can experience a fun, friendly, and Bible-centered class during our Sunday morning worship service. This class is staffed with well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."
AM I REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OFFERING?
We do not invite you to Hillcrest Baptist Church for your offering. Our weekly offering is used as a time for our members to give back to God and worship Him with our finances, as Proverbs 3:9 teaches. As our guest, we want our worship service to be our gift to you. If you’d like to participate in the offering you are welcome to do so but please do not feel obligated.

Proverbs 3:9 "Honour the LORD with thy substance and with the firstfruits of all thine increase."
WHAT DOES THIS CHURCH HAVE TO OFFER ME?
The Bible teaches that God gives every person spiritual gifts and abilities, and that we are to use these gifts to serve Him and to benefit others in the body of Christ. Therefore, at Hillcrest, while we desire to help people in any way we can, we also strive to create an environment where the emphasis is placed not so much on ways to receive a blessing as it is on ways to be a blessing. When every person uses the gifts God has given them and works together in unity much can be accomplished!

Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
